During the Passover break, we continued making progress on Better Together. This time, we focused on designing the questionnaire screens that couples receive when signing up for the app. The goal of this questionnaire is to identify shared interests that can bring couples closer together and help create meaningful experiences—based on the theory of self-expansion.

We also ran more user tests, matching real couples with personalized date ideas based on their answers. These sessions gave us valuable insights into how well the questionnaire works and where it can be improved.

What We Learned:

  • When couples discover a variety of shared interests, they feel more open to trying new things together — addressing the need for more quality time raised in earlier interviews.

  • The questionnaire should be more intuitive but also detailed enough to generate accurate, relevant matches.

  • It’s essential to ask questions that reflect the couple's dynamic, not just individual tastes this has a big impact on the quality of the suggested dates.

Now that the foundation is stronger, we’re turning our attention to the broader app experience and working on everything that surrounds the core functionality.
