After the mentor session, we gathered all the insights they shared with us and presented them to the lecturer. She helped us refine the feedback we received, emphasized important points we might have overlooked, and provided additional remarks for the next steps.
Our task this week was to validate our solution and simulate the app’s functionality – without the actual app. The idea is to act as if we are the app ourselves, to better understand how it should work in practice.
As part of the task, each of us was required to find a couple and test our solution on them. Two approaches were suggested:
1. Testing the solution on both partners together.
2. Assigning one of the partners the responsibility for planning the weekly date, creating a rotation between the partners and building anticipation for the next date.
To implement this, we started by designing a personality questionnaire that each partner will fill out separately. Through the questionnaire, we aim to gain a deep understanding of our users, learn about their needs and preferences, and generate relevant data to offer tailored experiences.
Our primary goal is to understand each user individually and then integrate the different worlds of the partners. This way, we can offer a meaningful and enjoyable date experience that supports our theory of "self-expansion." This theory aims to enrich the personal and shared worlds of the users through new and exciting experiences.
Once we collect the questionnaire results and set the dates, the real test of the buildup process will begin. At this stage, we’ll examine whether the buildup (the preparation and anticipation for the date) successfully enhances the significance and enjoyment of the experience. Our goal is to ensure that the anticipation for the date makes it more meaningful for the couple.
